Rich Peppiatt is a writer & director working across film, TV and commercials.

His debut narrative feature, Kneecap, had its world premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. It was the first ever non-US title included in the NEXT section, going on to win the coveted audience award. It was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics & will be released in cinemas summer 2024.

His debut feature documentary, One Rogue Reporter, was nominated for Best Independent Feature at the 2014 National Film Awards and released worldwide by Netflix.

He has gone on to write over 25 hours of prime time television, which have won awards including a Scottish RTS & BAFTA.

In 2018 he released two short films, Backseat Driver & Grounded. They have screened at over a dozen international festivals. Grounded was long-listed for the 2020 Academy Awards.

Rich has spoken about his work on the likes of BBC Radio 4, Channel 4 News, Newsnight, Sky News & Al Jazeera and written op-eds for the Guardian, The Independent, Big Issue and more. 

He continues to work with leading agencies and production companies whilst developing the portfolio of Naughty Step, the company he co-founded in 2014.

He is represented in the UK for film and television by MMB Creative. In the US he is represented by WME & managed by Anonymous Content.
